Stuck in a dispute that's draining your energy and taking over your life?

Disputes drain energy, time, and money. Left unresolved, they end up in court — where you have much less control of the outcome.

🌿

It's wearing you down

Not every dispute involves big money. A noisy neighbour, an overhanging tree, a tricky fence line — these feel small to others but affect your everyday life. You don't have to just live with it.

💸

Money is tied up

An unpaid invoice, a disputed payment, a lease gone wrong. Every week it drags on costs you more — in cash flow and headspace.

⚖️

Court feels like the only option

Solicitors, tribunals, long waits. You know it'll be slow and expensive — and the outcome is in a stranger's hands. There's a better path.

🤝

The relationship still matters

Whether it's a supplier, co-owner, or tenant — sometimes you'll still need to work together. Mediation keeps that door open.

What I can help resolve

Common dispute categories I work with:

Working with individuals, sole traders, and businesses across Australia — including Polish-language sessions. From commercial and neighbour disputes to IT project scope issues and construction conflicts. Online, efficiently, without the legal maze.

📄

Unpaid invoices

Customers or clients who won't pay. Structured mediation to reach a payment agreement fast.

🏢

Lease disputes

Landlord–tenant disagreements over rent, terms, damage, or exit conditions.

🤝

Partnership & co-owner disputes

Disagreements over money, roles, decisions, or the future direction of a shared business.

🔧

Contractor & supplier disputes

Disputes over work not done, quality or timing — resolved without blowing up the relationship.

👥

Customer complaints

Service or product complaints that have escalated. Mediation helps reach a fair outcome quickly.

💻

IT project disputes

Scope creep, delivery failures, or spec disagreements — mediation to resolve IT project conflicts without derailing the relationship or the project.

🏗️

Construction disputes

Scope and delivery conflicts between builders, subcontractors, and clients — resolved efficiently before they escalate to adjudication.

🏡

Fence & boundary disputes

Disagreements over dividing fences, shared walls, or who pays for what. Resolved without QCAT, other tribunals or courts.

🏘️

Neighbour disputes

Noise, access, overhanging trees, shared driveways, water runoff — issues that affect everyday life. Mediation helps reach a workable arrangement without going to court.

How it works

Three steps to resolution

A clear, AMDRAS-endorsed process — structured, private, and in your hands.

1

Discovery call

A free 15-minute call. I listen to a party, explain how mediation works, and we both decide whether to proceed together. No obligation.

15 min · Free
2

Onboarding — Separate sessions

The first paid session with each party separately before the joint session. We go deeper — what happened, what matters, what a good outcome looks like. I explain the process and set expectations in line with AMDRAS standards.

~1 hr per party
3

Mediation — Joint sessions

Both parties together in a structured online session. I facilitate — you reach your own outcome, or not. Mediation may not always produce an agreement, and that is perfectly normal. All sessions are conducted without prejudice, which means no part of it can be used against any party in court proceedings. If agreement is reached, parties may choose to formalise an agreement as a contract.

~4–7 hrs
The smart alternative

Why mediation instead of court?

Courts are designed for legal rights — not personal or business outcomes. Mediation is also useful for issues that are big enough for you to resolve, but too small for court or tribunal to take on.

✦ Mediation with FairPathway

  • Resolved in days or weeks, not months or years
  • A fraction of court or solicitor costs
  • You control the outcome — not a judge or magistrate
  • Creative, practical solutions — payment plans, revised terms, arrangements that work for everyone
  • Private and confidential — nothing on the public record
  • Keep the relationship open if you still need to work together

Court or tribunal

  • Can take 6–24 months to resolve
  • Legal fees can exceed the value of the dispute
  • A stranger (judge) decides — you accept the outcome
  • Binary outcomes: win or lose, nothing in between
  • Public process — proceedings can be accessed by others
  • Adversarial by design — relationships rarely survive

About me

Cezary Cichocki

I grew up in Poznań, Poland, and have made Australia home — living first in the ACT, then New South Wales, before finding my place on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. When I'm not working, you'll find me out sailing, diving, or fishing; the coast suits me well.

I'm close to completing my law degree, and that journey gave me a clear view of just how complex, costly, and inaccessible the legal system can be for most people. It's what led me to become an accredited mediator — I wanted to help people genuinely explore every option before stepping onto the difficult and expensive path of litigation.

I'm registered with AMDRAS and also a Commissioner of Declarations. Beyond mediation, I'm an IT professional with a degree in Professional Accounting — which means I can speak the language of technology, finance, and commercial disputes without needing a translator. That breadth makes me a productive facilitator across a wide range of disputes.

I work with individuals, sole traders, and businesses to resolve disputes online — efficiently, privately, and in plain English. For Polish-speaking clients, I conduct sessions fully in Polish.
